St. John's Episcopal Church has been offering God's love to the community since January 7, 1864. Founded in what would become the Capitol city of the State of Washington, St. John's offers worship, study, fellowship and service to enrich the body, soul and spirit. The present building is the fourth used for worship and is filled on Sunday with people of all walks of life who gather as an offering of love to God and to the world.
Rooted in the Anglican tradition, St. John's is a member of the Diocese of Olympia, which includes all of Western Washington. We are served by the Rt. Rev. Gregory Rickel, Bishop Diocesan.
St. John's is a community of faith that believes that God works with us and through us to build a strong Christian foundation for our lives.
Everyone who comes through the doors--newcomer or old-timer--is at a different place in a journey of faith. We are committed to helping everyone examine his or her values, strengths and needs, and ways we can grow, both individually, as a congregation and in reaching out in compassion to the community.
